Four-Year-Old Morning Program
Daily Schedule
| 8:25 - 8:35 |
Gathering Time The children come together and talk with each other and the teacher. The plans of day are talked about as well as news from home etc. |
| 8:35 – 8:45 |
Prayer Time The children pray, pledge the flag and sing the Star Spangled banner. The day’s leader leads the calendar and weather. |
| 8:45 – 9:15 |
Opening Activity or Circle Time This activity changes each day. Some examples are puzzles, play dough, pattern blocks. The children are encouraged to talk and interact with each other at this time. They are encouraged to help each other and share ideas. During Circle time the children learn new poems and songs and engage in language development games. |
| 9:15 – 10:10 |
Group Activity and Center Activities The children are divided into two groups (these are ever changing groups allowing the children to interact with all the children in the class during the week). One group works with the teacher on the daily lesson and the other group chooses from one of the play centers. |
| 10:10 – 10:30 |
Clean-up and Snack Children come together and clean up the play centers and ready themselves for snack. |
| 10:30 – 10:45 |
