My name is Valerie Cianciolo, and I began teaching fourth grade in September of 2006. Previous to teaching at St. Mary’s, I taught in the Milford Public Schools for four years. My experiences in the public system include Reading and English in Grades 5, 7, and 8. After raising my family, I returned to teaching at St. Ann School in Milford, where I taught Grades 6, 7, and 8 Reading, English, and Religion for nine years.
I attended Central Connecticut State University, where I received a B.S. degree in Elementary Education and Psychology. I continued on at Southern Connecticut State University, where I earned an M.S. in Education, with a Middle Grade School concentration. Currently, I hold a Connecticut State Certification for teaching grades Pre-School through Grade 8.
I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, going to the beach, and playing tennis. I am very happy to be a member of the St. Mary faculty. It is a wonderful school, and I look forward to being a part of the St. Mary family for many years to come.
