| Mr. Lacerenza graduated from Stamford Catholic High School and received his Bachelor’s Degree from Iona College in History and Elementary Education. He also earned a Master’s Degree from Fairfield University in Supervision and Administration and a Certificate in Catholic School Administration from Sacred Heart University. He holds a Permanent Teaching Certification from the State of Connecticut. Besides teaching in Catholic elementary schools in Stamford, he has also been Principal of St. Bernadette School in New Haven and St. Patrick School in Bridgeport. He has been in his current position as the Principal of Saint Mary School since 1991. Mr. Lacerenza is a member of the Commission on Independent Schools for the New England Association of Schools and Colleges and has served on numerous accreditation teams in the New England area. He was recently elected to the Archdiocesan Principal’s Advisory Council for Elementary Schools. Mr. Lacerenza and his wife Arlene, a Marriage and Family Therapist, live in Milford where they care for their two cats and one dog. Together they have raised five children and have three grandchildren. In his free time Mr. Lacerenza is a musician who plays the drums for both concert and swing bands. |
